Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) Notification 2018: Deputy Section Officer
Applications are invited for filling up the following vacancy.

Online Applications are invited from 15/09/2018(13:00 hours) to 01/10/2018(13:00 hours) for the following posts of Secretariate Departments, Gujarat Public Service Commission, Gujarat Legislature Secretarial & Revenue Deparment. The reservation for S.C., S. T., S. & E. B.C., & Women candidates is as under. In case of non – availability of Women candidates, in the respective category, the post so reserved will be allotted to male candidates belonging to the same category.
Note : [1] Combined Screening Test will be held on Date: 16/12/2018
[2] The result of Screening Test will be publish in February-2019
[3] The mains written examination will be held on Date: 27/04/2019 & 28/04/2019
[4] The result of mains written examination will be publish in September -2019

A candidate who has appeared or intends to appear or awaiting the result of the final semester/year of the required qualification can apply, but the candidate has to qualify and submit the required qualification as advertised before the last date of submitting the application for mains examination. Also,
the candidate must have completed 20 years of age on the last date of online application.
Pay Scale : Rs.38,090/- (Fix Pay) for 5 years. Rs.39, 600-1,26,600 /- Pay matrix level No.7 – Rs.39,600 – 1,26,600 (According to 7th Pay Commission) after completion of the satisfactory service of 5 years.
Age : A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 35 years
as on 01/10/2018. Age will be calculated as on the last date of receipt of application.
Upper age limit shall be relaxed as under :

| 3 | Women Candidates of Reserved Category | 10 years (including 05 years relaxation as Woman, Maximum up to 45 years.) |
| 4 | Ex-servicemen / Officers | For appointment to any vacancy in class-3 and class-4 posts in Gujarat Government, an Ex-Serviceman shall be allowed to deduct the period of actual military service from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post for which he is seeking appointment by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit”[maximum up to 45 (forty five) years] |
| 5 | Physically disabled candidates | maximum up to 10 (ten) years subject to his / her ability to discharge duties attached to the posts, as may be erformed by any other normal persons, on the bais of production of medical certificate prescribed by GAD circular dated 01-12-2008 from the Medical Board. |
| 6 | Government Servant | No relaxation in upper age will be available to Government Servant |
